Moy Catchment Angling Report – W/E twenty first July 2024 | Fishing in Eire

Water ranges within the Moy remained low for many of the week with a studying of 0.19 m on Monday 15th at Ballylahan which rose out of the blue to only over 1 m on Saturday night after a lot awaited rain lastly arrived within the locality. A mixed whole of 76 salmon caught on The Moy Fishery this week with 45 being taken and 31 being launched again safely to the water.

Ballina Salmon Anglers.

A complete of 51 salmon had been reported caught this fortnight with 29 caught on the worm, 12 on the fly and 10 spinning. The bulk had been grilse from 2.5 lbs and 5 lbs.

Mount Falcon Property

A complete of twenty-two salmon reported caught with 14 being taken and eight launched with weights starting from 4 lbs to six lbs and the most effective for the week weighing in at 8lbs.

Knockmore Salmon Anglers

Kenneth reported 21 salmon caught on the prawn and worm exhibiting weights from 3lbs-6lbs.

Attymass Angling Membership

Kevin reported 7 salmon caught exhibiting weights from 4-5 lbs and all being taken on the prawn and worm.

Byrnes Fishery

Roy reported 37 salmon caught this week with weights starting from 3 lbs as much as 7 lbs. Most fish had been taken on the prawn and the worm with greatest coming in at 8 lbs.

Armstrong Fishery

George reported 35 salmon caught for the week with weights as much as 8 lbs all taken on the shrimp and worm with 1 salmon launched again to the water.

Gannon’s Fishery

Pat reported 80 salmon caught totally on the prawn with weights as much as 8 lbs with 12 of them launched again to the water.

The Foxford Fishery

Granville reported 51 salmon caught for the week utilizing all strategies with the most effective on the worm and 9 of them returned to the water. Greatest weights for the week had been within the area of 8 lbs.
