This prestigious award acknowledges people who’ve devoted extraordinary effort and time to the betterment of Houston Safari Membership Basis over a few years.
Mitzy McCorvey has been a devoted member of HSCF since 2002, turning into a Life Member in 2010. Through the years, she has demonstrated unwavering assist, serving in key management roles, together with President of HSCF (2018-2019), Vice President (2014-2015), Board of Administrators (2015-2017), Conference Chairman (2016), Gazelles Luncheon Co-Chair (2008, 2014, 2015, 2017), and Co-Chair of the Conference Adorning Committee (2022-Current).
Mitzy’s contributions lengthen past management, as she has been an HSCF Company Sponsor (2007-2011), a Dan L. Duncan Legacy Sponsor since 2012, and a devoted supporter of the Gazelles Luncheon via sponsorships and donations to its dwell and silent auctions. In recognition of her service, she acquired the HSCF President’s Award in 2012 and was named the 2016 HSCF Worldwide Huntress of the Yr.
Mitzy’s dedication to conservation and searching extends past HSCF. She is a Life Member of SCI, SCI Sables, and Houston Livestock Present & Rodeo (HLSR), Benefactor Life Member of the NRA, Elected Member of the NRA Board of Administrators (since 2022), Government Committee Member of the NRA Ladies’s Management Discussion board (since 2016), and Longtime volunteer and committee chief for HLSR, together with service on the Memento Program Committee and Scholarship Judging Committee.
Moreover, Mitzy has performed a key position in philanthropy, serving as Stay and Silent Public sale Coordinator for the Sunshine Children at HLSR BBQ Cook dinner-Off and remaining actively concerned within the Texas Deer Affiliation.
Mitzy and her husband, Tony McCorvey, who can also be a Life Member of HSCF, share a ardour for conservation, ranching, and searching. Collectively, they oversee cattle and deer operations at Rancho de Sueños, their household ranch. They’re proud dad and mom of 5 youngsters and 7 grandchildren, passing down their love for the outside to future generations.
Named in honor of former HSC Previous President and HSC founder Frank E. Inexperienced, this award serves as a memorial to his unwavering dedication to HSCF, conservation, and searching.
