Metropolis mayors throw help behind PBBM, First Household

BACOLOD CITYThe 149-member League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) has thrown help behind President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the First Household following the threats and verbal assaults of Vice President Sara Duterte towards the Chief Govt and First Girl Liza Araneta-Marcos over the weekend.

“The League of Cities stands in steadfast help of President Marcos and his administration, and we name on all leaders to prioritize the welfare of our residents over private disputes,” the LCP mentioned in an announcement on Sunday signed by Quezon Metropolis Mayor Pleasure Belmonte, performing nationwide president, and Bacolod Metropolis Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, nationwide chairman.

The town mayors added that they “categorically condemn any conduct or actions that threaten the steadiness of the duly constituted authorities led by Marcos.”

Calling Duterte’s outburst “each unbecoming of her workplace and reckless,” the LCP mentioned, “such recklessness endangers not solely the protection of our leaders but additionally the peace and safety of the whole Filipino.”
