Excessive water favours spinners & worms on the River Moy | Fishing in Eire

Heavy rain over the August financial institution vacation weekend triggered water ranges within the Moy to rise considerably this week. This week Pat reported 12 fish caught of which 4 have been launched. Essentially the most profitable methodology for the week was worming and one of the best fish weighed 6 lbs.

The Foxford Fishery
Granville reported that 11 fish have been caught of which 2 have been launched. The heaviest fish weighed 6 lbs and was caught spinning.

A busy week with a complete of 63 fish caught which is up 25 on the reported catch for the earlier week. Cloongee noticed a complete of three fish reported caught for the week. 2 fish weighing 6 lbs and seven lbs have been caught spinning and a fish of 4 lbs was caught on the fly. All fish have been launched again to the river.

Kathleen reported a complete catch of 19 fish of which 7 have been launched. The common weights have been 2 lbs to five lbs with the heaviest fish weighing 6 lbs. Strategies used have been fly, spinner and worm.

One salmon weighing 3 lbs was reported caught and launched within the higher Moy.
